Rick Cordeiro - Be Like Me film - Enlivener Productions

What character(s) did you play in ‘Be Like Me’ film?

I played multiple characters, The Bartender and Drill Sgt. I’ve worked on a total of five TV and film productions in the past year in which I played multiple characters.

How would you describe your character?

a Guru

What interested in you in playing this role?

It sounded like it would be a great addition to my resume and demo reel.

How did you feel about playing this character?

I felt pretty comfortable with it. The crew and production staff made it an easy going atmosphere for all actors involved which helped out a lot with our performance.

What was it like working with lead Geoffrey Hymers, other talented actors, the Directors, and Crew?

It was my first time working with everyone on this set, actors and crew, but since then I have worked with at least a half dozen actors and crew members from this set on other projects. I hope to work with Walter again soon. He’s great guy to work with.

What was your favourite moment during shooting?

The classroom scene cause I was told there would be a lot of work done in post production that will make it a “scene stealer” for me.

How effective are pickup lines in your opinion?

It depends what city you use them in. I’m from Hamilton originally and they work fine there, but in Toronto the women are stuck up and play too many mind-games with the guys. Toronto girls need to relax a bit and lighten up.

What was the worse pickup line someone used on you?

Is that a banana in your pocket ot are you just happy to see me?

What do you believe creates attraction?

If I knew the answer to that one I would write a book about it and make million$

Do you have any dating tips?

Ummm……………..Nope.

What projects have you worked on recently?

I’m currently cast to work on a total of EIGHT projects. 1 TV commercial, 1 music video, 1 amazing Feature Film, 1 short film, 1 documentary and 3 web series, all of which are crime/ dramas….I’m a versatile actor but also get cast to play villains a lot.

A ton of projects. I moved here to Toronto last year and a half to pursue an acting career and in that time span have picked up work on over 100+ TV and film projects. I am one of the busiest actors in Toronto right now. Stay Non Union as long as possible to build up your acting resume. 97% of the stuff out there is Non Union.

What future projects should we look out for?

I got cast recently to work on an 8-part TV mini series for the History channel called, “THE KENNEDY’s” it’s about John F. Kennedy and family. When you see it airing on TV early 2011 it will be like you’re watching the “Godfather”…I got cast to play Sam Giancana’s goon, a 1960s Chicago gangster.
